As we are heading for a new year, we look back at stressful and challenging months, with a pandemic as one of the great disasters to befall our planet. 2020 has been a difficult year for many companies, but also a year of adaptation and transformation.

Many healthcare companies throughout the world took on the challenge Covid-19 represents by joining the search for a vaccine, a therapy, and more. Health care support workers, direct care workers and health care service workers gave their best to help others in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the same time the entire world underwent a huge transformation, with most of our routines having changed drastically. As described in our blog of November 2020, the world entered an uncertain cycle of recurring lockdowns and lifting of restrictions. Virtual meetings and working on a remote basis became the ‘new norm’.

In a previous LinkedIn-post, our colleague Funmi Johnson shared her thoughts about working from home. We believe that this new style of work can be an opportunity for many companies to attract young potentials who prefer flexibility with their schedules and remote work options. We hope many employers will embrace working remotely in the near future, creating a healthy work-life balance providing their employees with some much-needed human contact.

2020 has been a challenging year for much of the economy, but companies focused on the digital world often flourished. As we are looking optimistically to the new year, Beyond Communication wishes you a healthy and prosperous 2021!
